the
BENEDIction |
|
|
The Benediction is a sacramental. It's a privileged way of God's grace that goes down on the man. God has "blessed us" (Ef 1,3) in Jesus Christ, His divine Son. Jesus is the“Blessed ”, He is “the blessed fruit” of Mary's womb. Holy Mary is the“Blessed among all the women” (Lc 1,42). The Church blesses in every liturgical action. The priest blesses, in a particoular way, at the and of every Mass. The parentes are invited to bless their sons (Benedictional n. 601).
To bless means “to say” “well”. The Benediction that comes from God creates in us the “good” that God wants. It is an action of powerful grace of God on us, more than a wish. “Bless !” (Rm 12.14) S. Paul said to all the christians. Two “special” Benedictions could be always desired and often asked by every christians: 1 the Sacerdotal Benediction and 2
the Virginal
Benediction
. When you meet a priest or a nun, you must know that in them is hidden a grace for you. So make a ligh bow toward them and, if it's possible, ask them, discretionally, a sign of Benediction, even a simple and silent cross on your forehead. Ask and glady receive the Virginal Benediction by a nun: it's powerful! The Benediction of the Nuns purifies the world. Unfurtunately a lot of consecrate virgins, “humbly”, ignores it. Ask above all, every day, to the Blessed Virgin Mary for her Maternal Benediction with Her Blessed Son, Jesus.
Another Benediction? Ask for it to the children,
they are still innocent. Ask for it, like S. Francis, also to
a poor man!
Repeat to everybody : “God blesses you!” (Nm
6,24) |
